Dr. Ben Ubido
Managing Director/CEODr. Benjamin Ubido is a seasoned professional with extensive experience across Banking, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and Agriculture. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Network Oil & Gas Limited and Chief Administrative Officer of Shafnet Exploration and Production Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Benin, an MBA and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Delta State University, Abraka, and an Honorary Doctoral Fellowship from the Institute for Humanitarian Studies & Social Development. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting, a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration, and a member of the Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution. Dr. Ubido had over 10 years of banking experience before joining the oil and gas industry. He has held key management positions, including Director of Finance and Administration at Network Oil & Gas Limited, before his appointment as Managing Director. He has led the delivery of major turnkey oil and gas projects from conceptual design to commissioning, including the Integrated Gas Handling Facility valued at approximately $487 million, with production capacity for LPG, propane, synthetic crude oil, and lean gas for power generation. He also played a key role in the development of crude oil processing and gas handling facilities that were successfully operated before handover to NNPCL. Under his leadership, Network Oil & Gas Limited continues to provide high-quality services in engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, operations, and maintenance of oil and gas facilities. In his role at Shafnet Exploration and Production Limited, he oversees human capital management, logistics, host community relations, ICT, and administration, contributing to the company’s successful drilling of one well in 2025.
